This is not a typical approach to looking at calories. Typically — it’s more about calories in, calories out.
Now this is beneficial to optimal wellness, but it’s not the ONLY way to look at a calorie.
What message are you sending to your brain and your body when consuming that calorie?
So let’s look at a delicious, yummy cinnamon roll and a dark green leafy and colorful salad.
Which one is going to send your body and brain the messages of love, energy, and vitality?

We have to look at a calorie as more than a number.
When you eat food that you crave, that junk, fast, or crazy fried food, the power of the calorie is depreciated.

- Know what you eat now.
- Pick ONE meal to focus on.
- Eat nutrient-dense foods.
- REAL food
- Eat your leafy greens and vegetables
- Sprinkle in some fruit. Think berries!
- Eat a colorful plate.
- Eat in season. Shop local. (Or buy frozen when out of season.)
- Always have a protein with every meal
- Stay HYDRATED
