It’s like with the “everything in moderation tool”, it’s become the free pass to say — you can do this way of living until you need a break and lacking discipline for your actions.
Yes! I’m calling it like it is.
Have you ever walked into a class and had a professor say, “Here’s the syllabus, the rules, and how I grade. But when you are tired and don’t feel like or care to do the work, you get a free pass. You can cheat.”
We are searching for this thing: we can eat what we want when we want with no consequences.
And here to tell you it doesn’t work!
Everything in moderation is a myth. It will not support your heath and wellness goals, nor any other life goals.
Now I’m not saying you can’t enjoy a piece of pie. But it’s when that piece of pie eeks back into your daily nutrition.
Temptation is a greater force than we give credit. Once we’ve tasted, it’s easier to continue.
That’s what happens with everything in moderation. We know the taste can come, the goodness. And therefore, we begin to flip ‘n flop how we eat to fit everything in moderation.
This may sound harsh. But if you have lofty goals, you know I’m the first to tell you nothing is impossible. But there must be discipline and commitment to what you desire.
