We just go through the day and soon the night appears and off to bed we go! Then the horrible sound of the alarm beats loudly, and we repeat the cycle again.

But that’s not serving your marriage.

As with everything in life, change is a constant. And in marriage, you have to change. So you have to keep up with the times and keep your marriage fresh.

However, this takes intentionality. Yet, it doesn’t have to feel like work and it can be fun!

So how do you date your spouse again?

The K.I.S.S. ~ Reimagine date night!

Don’t overthink this part of your relationship. Have FUN with getting to know each other. Explore on your date nights. The goal is to draw closer to each other. Remember, you are creating an experience to enjoy together.

1. Clear the clutter and the calendar. It’s vital that you make time not just in your head, but also in your heart and carry it to the calendar. Otherwise, something else will ALWAYS get in the way.
2. Create the ambiance. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to create a space that is enticing for each other. Think about what the other one enjoys and start there.
3. Make the old new again. There are probably times in your relationship where you really enjoyed something together. Do that with a new twist. Think outside the box.

Some of the dates you can create at home are:

• Movie night / Best show binge night
• Game night
• A night under the stars
• Be creative in your date night (i.e., paint, write, etc.)
• A night of dream travel

If nothing else, keep your spouse as the main event!
