It’s such a challenge to eat healthy on the road. Everywhere you turn, it’s fast this, and this, and this. How to eat this, not that on the go.

As you know, I’m traveling. It took 12 hours to get to our new home. Now we aren’t moving there yet. But with my husband already down there, we wanted to go and get him settled in.
Well you can’t not eat for 12 hours unless you’re fasting. And yes, I’ve done that; but when I do that I like to drink lots of water which requires more potty breaks.
So let’s eat this, not that!
The K.I.S.S. ~ Eat this, not that!
Instead of diving into the tempting fast food stops that are greasy, salty foods, there are healthier ways to eat and not feel bloated and stuffed for days to come (like you’re eating the meal over again and again).
Eat This!
- Hard boiled eggs
- Peanuts, almonds, cashews, walnuts
- Fresh chicken, ham, turkey (you can add some fresh cheese too)
- Grapes
- Water
- Mustard, picante sauce, hot sauce
Not This!
- Sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit
- Peanut butter sandwiches
- Potato chips, salty fries
- Soda pop or juices
- Mayo and ketchup
CHINESE:
- Eat this! – No breaded meat, green beans, broccoli, soup
- Not this! – Breaded everything, Rice, fried anything
PIZZA:
- Eat this! – Salad with yummy toppings, Soup (no noodles), Pineapple or grapes
- Not this! – Pizza, pizza, pizza, No noodles, cinnamon rolls
You can pack a cooler, but depending on the drive time, shopping at a local grocery store along the way will make your body sing and your heart extra healthy.
Be creative. You don’t have to feel deprived. Celebrate your health and wellness.
