What if you could save the world with your patience and your smile? Would you be willing to go the extra mile?
The holidays should bring the best out of us. But instead, we get trapped in the hustle and bustle with rolling eyes, crossed arms, and stomping feet.
Now if you’re driving, you still have the rolling eyes. But don’t forget an expressive finger-point and an obnoxious beeping horn.
Doesn’t this sound like a place you would want to travel and shop?
Yesterday, I was gathering some last-minute things for the family. As I was attempting to exit this jammed parking lot, a white car with a female driver decided she would “push” her way in-between cars that had no room to move.
In the meantime, another annoyed driver decided to pull out too soon blocking traffic both ways. The cars could not exit or enter. Within a few seconds, horns blared. And not just from one car, but at least four or five.
How does this really help any situation?
It doesn’t. In fact, it only makes your blood boil.
“A hot-tempered person stirs up conflict, but the one who is patient calms a quarrel.” ~ Proverbs 15:18
So don’t play the copycat game this season!
The K.I.S.S. ~ Patience looks good on you!
Stand out like a sore thumb. Express your appreciation with a smile, a hug, and a gracious “thank you”!
Getting upset and mad is the easy way to live. Challenge yourself beyond what is easy. Adopt what goes against the grain.
Patience looks good on you!
“Whoever is patient has great understanding, but one who is quick-tempered displays folly.” ~ Proverbs 14:29
You are not foolish in your comings and goings. You are wise and have much to offer the world.
Your presence requires patience. A gift that keeps giving long after you leave
“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” ~ Romans 12:12
The greatest impact comes from an understanding heart and patient presence.
Do your best not to be like everyone else. As you check your list for what to bring, be sure to pack your patience. If you go shopping for some last-minute supplies and surprise, wear your patience.
“Patience looks good on you!”
