Creams, dyes, supplements, and french fries. Doesn’t that sound like the fountain of youth? Everyone wants to look younger, but how? And why?

Yet we do our best to cover up and change what we don’t like. It reminds me of the chant, “Lions, tigers, and bears, oh my!”.
The fountain of youth has been chased after for years. In the 16th century, it became prominent with the Spanish explorer, Ponce de León.
Why are we so obsessed with our youth, looking younger?
Is there anything to be said about growing wiser and older with grace?
I’m one who prefers to color my hair, not because I don’t like my original color. But because my color changed to white at a very young age; my early thirties. My hubby already looked younger than me. I definitely did not want to look like the cougar.
Now enjoying the benefits of anti-aging products are fine. This is not a place of judgement.
However, what I want to challenge you with is the reason behind why you do it.
If we were honest and truthful with our inner self, most of us would equate to what we want to change due to an outside influence. Now that influence could be personal beliefs, media, technology, friends/family, colleagues. The list could go on and on.
But what we find is the “look” is what people are after. It’s about looking younger; erasing the wrinkles, gray hair, sagging skin. They aren’t interested in how you feel and what’s being done on a cellular level.
That’s where the fountain of youth lies. Who cares about how young you look if you don’t feel well? If you can’t chase your children or grandchildren? If you don’t have the flexibility to get up off the floor?
Maybe we are searching for the fountain of youth all wrong. Yes, water is good for you. Hydrate often.
But what do you need to sustain the fountain of health?
The K.I.S.S. ~ REvamp what you know is best!
There is nothing new under the sun except for different chemical concoctions and GMOs. That means our hands have been in the stuff to create creams, dyes, supplements, and french fries….Oh my!
So you have to go back to the foundation of the fountain of health and where it was created from.
- REstore your movement. We are sitting way too much. I was at a conference recently, and all we did was sit for 8 hours except for an additional hour. How does immobility serve you?
- REfresh your fridge. What are you putting in your body? Are you eating more processed, refined foods? Or are you shopping for foods on the outside parameter of the grocery store?
- REnew your commitment. YOU matter! Start putting your health as a priority.
Change doesn’t happen until you make the decision to change.
No one can make the decisions as to what you do with your body except you.
So if you are wanting to lose weight, what is the first step you need to take to REvamp what you know is best?
Same goes for eating healthy, stretching every day. You have to take responsibility for your health and your actions.
The fountain of youth is within your reach, but you have to commit to the fountain of health which is on the cellular level.
That’s where you get to feel and see a difference in your everyday.
