For most of us, we know what our body needs. But it’s easy to get distracted by others. For the sake of your health, listen to what your body is telling you.
For many years, I found myself chasing everyone else’s successes. If it worked for them, it’s gotta work for me too.

But that’s not what happened. I only …
- spent more money,
- gained more frustration,
- hated my body more,
- and continued down a path failure.
And that only discredited my judgement even more. Big loser, but not the big loser I wanted to be.
Plus, I did damage every time I tried something new just because of what I saw. And it showed up on the TV, advertisements, mailings, infomercials, and social channels. All was so tempting.
For the sake of your health, listen to what your body is telling you.
When you are wanting something different for your body, whether it be weight-related or general health-related, you become desperate. You grasp at anything that offers a bit of hope.
Five pounds would be better than no pounds or gaining pounds.
Let’s pause for a word from our sponsor.

So if you were to quiet the distractions, turn off the tempting commercials, what would your body tell you?
Think about how you feel when you …
- eat certain foods.
- sit too long (like at a movie).
- drink stuff in cans that sizzle when you open them and later in your tummy.
- stay up late and abandon a goodnight’s sleep.
For the sake of your health, listen to what your body is telling you and do T.H.I.S., not that!
The K.I.S.S. ~ Do T.H.I.S., not that!
Incorporate …
- Traditional REAL foods
- Stop overeating processed, easy grab foods. This will help reduce unnecessary sugar and salt consumption.
- Heaven and Heart connection
- God’s got you. Talk to Him.
- Intentional movement
- Stop sitting so long and move more daily.
- Sleep
- Stop staying up late and not prioritizing sleep. Aim for 7-9 hours.
A word to the wise: Do what works for you, for the sake of your health.
My body is very complicated. But through extensive research and past failures and successes, I found intermittent fasting works extremely well for me.
Intermittent fasting is a controversial topic, but I chose to listen to my body.
For the sake of your health, do this, not that!
