Today, I want to share with you a personal story. The story of how being overweight revealed the addiction. My food addiction.
At first I never saw it as an addiction. I thought I just ate food because I really enjoyed it. But when my husband told me he had fallen out of love, I began to look at what I was doing in my entire life. I was deconstructing how I lived.

Studies show that a person can be addicted to food. The pleasure centers within the brain are triggered by food just as addictive drugs like cocaine and heroin.
These food are highly palatable food rich in sugar, fat, and salt. When you eat these foods, it triggers the feel good chemicals such as dopamine.
Food does affect our emotional, psychological, and physical well-being. It affects not just our health, but our relationships. How we perform as a mom, wife, at work, at school.
