Today we celebrate Memorial Day. A day set aside to honor and remember those who have fought for our country. During their time of service, do you think any of them hesitated in answering the question, “Excuses or solutions?”.
NO WAY!!!

In the time of war or peace, the focus was on solutions. The excuses didn’t matter as it did not accomplish the job. I can remember my father saying to me, “How are you going to get the job done? What are you going to do about it?”
Excuses or solutions?
My dad always focused on the solutions. The excuses didn’t matter.
We can learn so much from our military in how they do their job, where they focus their mindset, and what they do to move forward.
So today, I ask you to do something a little out of the ordinary. Pretend you are in a time of war, and maybe you don’t have to pretend. A difficult relationship. Financial struggles. A divorce. A challenging health issue.
What have you been doing that is working for you, bringing you closer to resolve – a solution?
Or are you swimming in the mindset of excuses hoping the situation will just fade?
Are you really giving it some thought as to what you could do to change the situation?
The K.I.S.S. ~ When looking for the promise, search for the rainbow!
- Remove the blinders.
- Think outside the box. (Expand your vision. See what God sees.)
- Search for the rainbow. (See the hope before you even find it. Have faith.)
Our soldiers go to battle every day for us. God fights for you daily. Are you ready to go to battle? To fight for who you are becoming, for what you believe in, for the changes you desire in your life?
Excuses or solutions? What do you choose?
For all our military and their families around the world, our deepest gratitude for your sacrifice. May God richly bless you in all that you do. Happy Memorial Day!!!
