If I had a magic potion for you to drink that would keep you younger, you would jump on it. But with no potion, how to stay younger longer is still the question.
My daughter was chatting with her friends and co-workers. They were making comments based on the pictures they saw on Facebook. “Mom they are saying you look so young. She could be your sister.”
Now of course I was smiling really BIG at this point. But how to stay younger longer is the BIGGER question, especially since we aren’t getting any younger (at least I’m not).

Of course this would make any mother feel really good. But how can it help you? Here is the ONE of the secrets I use daily!
The K.I.S.S. ~ Eat your FIVE a day (fruits and vegetables)!
- TRACK how many fruits and vegetables you are eating now. You need to know how many you are eating. You may think you are eating 5, but most of us are not!
- INCREASE the greens you eat — and go for the DARKER ones! Go for the dark side of the vegetables. You can add in spinach to your morning shakes without changing the flavor. Kale is the ultimate, but it does have a distinct taste (and that’s the review from my children). If need be, start slow. Eat iceburg lettuce slowing adding in romaine lettuce. Then you can add in spinach like a spice. Again, slowly reduce the amount of romaine and let more spinach appear. Yummy!!!
- EAT a colorful plate (BRIGHT colors).
- PLAN & PREP for snack time. You want to have vegetables and fruits available for the quick grab. It will be great for you and definitely for your child(ren). If your budget allows, buy for convenience. You can purchase already cut up and prepared vegetables.
Fruits and vegetables have substantial health benefits! They are high in fiber packed with minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants. And they have the greatest amount of sweetness. Just perfection!!!
Remember you eat with you eyes and your nose before you eat with you mouth. Those taste buds can be trained.
