Have you ever had that fleeting thought…I wish I didn’t have kids? OMGoodness! If you are honest, that is a thought that comes up in motherhood (or fatherhood).
And just because you are thinking this thought “I wish I didn’t have kids”, doesn’t mean that you are a bad mama. Remember, you’re only human.
Being a mommy is a tough job. It can bring you to emotional states that isn’t understood until you are graced with being a mom (or dad).
Now please know that if you are having these thoughts and they are NOT fleeting and circumstantial, plus the thoughts are leading you down a negative and harmful path, PLEASE SEEK PROFESSIONAL HELP!! This is a serious situation.
For our context today, we are looking at this from a fleeting thought. One that when your child has pushed your buttons too many times, you say to yourself…I wish I didn’t have kids!
Think about when you have these thoughts, how are you feeling?
- Frustrated
- Angered
- Upset
- A little mad
- Can’t keep a level head
- Hard to focus
- Over emotional (good or bad… too much crying or too giddy)
How does your body respond? Can you feel the tension build within your body. You lock your jaw; one reason so you don’t say something you might regret.
Your sweet blessings just know how to get under your skin. Grrrr!
Don’t fret mama! Thinking this doesn’t make you less of a good mommy, a bad wife, or not a good woman.
There is hope and a way to feel more in control.

- Make YOU a PRIORITY (schedule daily ME time)
- Health & Wellness Checkin (physical/emotional/mental/spiritual)
