In moments of chaos and confusion, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed and discouraged. The mess that surrounds us can often cloud our vision, making it difficult to see beyond our current circumstances. Yet scripture tells us more— so that.
As believers, we are reminded in the Bible that there is always a deeper purpose behind our trials and struggles – a “so that” pointing us toward hope and redemption.

One of the most powerful verses encapsulating this concept is found in John 9:3, where Jesus says, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.“
Here, we see that even in the midst of suffering, there is a greater purpose at play – one that is rooted in glorifying God and His work in our lives.
Similarly, in Romans 8:28, we are reminded that “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.“
This verse serves as a beacon of hope for those feeling lost in the chaos, reassuring us that God is working in and through our struggles to bring about something good and transformative.
The K.I.S.S. ~ So that!
So that you can move beyond the earthly failures and see the heavenly blessings here on earth.
As we navigate the challenges and messiness of life, it is important to hold fast to the truth of 1 Peter 4:12-13, which says, “Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.“
This passage reminds us that our suffering is not in vain but serves a greater purpose in revealing God’s glory in our lives.
So, to the one who finds themselves surrounded by chaos and disappointment, take heart in knowing that your mess is not the end of the story. There is a “so that” waiting to unfold, where God’s glory will shine through and bring about beauty from ashes. Rest in the assurance that you are His beloved child, and He is faithfully working all things together for your good.
In the words of 2 Corinthians 4:17, “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.” Let this truth be a source of encouragement and strength as you journey through the chaos, knowing that the God of all comfort is with you every step of the way.
“Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!“
