As the world whirls around us in a maelstrom of chaos and uncertainty, peace can often seem like a distant dream. Yet, during Advent, we’re reminded of a glimmer of hope that emerges: peace be still.
In Luke 2:14, we are reminded of the profound promise of peace that transcends circumstances and brings a sense of calm even in the midst of life’s storms.

The verse in Luke 2:14 (NIV) reads, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
This proclamation heralded the birth of Jesus Christ, whose very presence ushered in a new era of peace and hope for all humanity.
In John 14:27 (NIV), Jesus assures us, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
In a world rife with conflict, division, and uncertainty, it can be easy to succumb to fear and anxiety. However, the peace that Jesus offers is unlike any other. It is a peace that surpasses all understanding, a calm in the midst of the storm, a beacon of hope in the darkness.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Peace be still!
Philippians 4:4-7
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
During this Advent season, with all the hustle and bustle of holiday preparations, take a moment to pause and reflect on the true meaning of peace. Find solace in the promise of peace born in a manger over two thousand years ago, a peace that continues to live through the ages and be in our hearts today.
As you navigate the challenges of life, cling to the hope and assurance that Jesus brings, knowing that in Him, you can find true peace that will sustain you through all trials and tribulations.
Let us echo the words of Psalm 29:11, “The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.”
In the chaos, may you find peace. In uncertainty, may you find hope. And in Jesus Christ, may you find everlasting peace that passes all understanding.
“Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!“
