As parents, we are always making decisions and trying to keep life running smoothly when it feels more like a train wreck. So when life has you by a thread, do you have a promise to keep?

Seriously!
Parenting is a journey filled with highs and lows, victories and defeats, laughter and tears.
It is a journey where we strive to make the best decisions for our children, to protect them from harm, and to nurture them into strong, compassionate individuals.
But in a world filled with uncertainties and struggles, how can we ensure that our children grow up to be resilient and successful?
Where do we draw the line for ourselves and for them?
Do you have a promise to keep?
I think we do as parents: to raise up our kids with the abilities to impact the world they touch.
And we just can’t sit back and pretend that it’s going to be easy. Life will give us lemons, and our children will do the same. It’s up to us to make the lemonade!
The K.I.S.S. ~ Make the lemonade!
It’s gotta be sweet and tart, turning your tongue inside out. That’s living!!
Here are three impactful ways in which parents can influence their children to rise to the top:
1. Lead by Example: Children learn by observing their parents. As parents, it is essential to model the values and behaviors we wish to instill in our children. Whether it is showing kindness to others, demonstrating resilience in the face of adversity, or pursuing our passions with determination, our actions speak louder than words.
“Children are great imitators. So give them something great to imitate.” ~ Kristianne Wargo
2. Encourage Independence: While it is natural to want to protect our children from failure and disappointment, it is equally important to allow them the freedom to make mistakes and learn from them. By encouraging independence and decision-making skills, we empower our children to develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
“Empower your children to take ownership of their actions and decisions. Let them learn from their mistakes and grow stronger.” ~ Kristianne Wargo
3. Foster Resilience: Life is not always smooth sailing, and challenges are inevitable. By teaching our children to embrace failures as opportunities for growth, we equip them with the resilience to navigate life’s ups and downs with grace and courage.
“Resilience is not about avoiding struggles but about facing them head-on and emerging stronger and wiser.” ~ Kristianne Wargo
In the journey of parenthood, we carry a promise in our hearts – a promise to nurture, support, and guide our children towards a bright and adventurous future. Let us embrace this promise wholeheartedly and empower our children to become the best versions of themselves.
Do you have a promise to keep? Yep- go make some lemonade!
“Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!“
