If you prefer a phone call when your partner is running late, communicate this preference ahead of time to avoid assumptions.
3. Seek Clarification: Instead of jumping to conclusions or assuming your partner’s intentions, ask for clarification when in doubt to foster open dialogue and mutual understanding.
Instead of assuming your partner’s reason for a certain action, ask them directly, “Can you help me understand why you did that?”
