Why do our hearts break more than they celebrate? Why can’t You answer my prayer the way I ask? Trusting God is hard sometimes; but it remains the greatest blessing here on earth.
Where have you found yourself talking with God?

Begging for what He hasn’t given you or thanking Him for what He has given you?
Life can leave us perplexed living in a swirling attitude of entitlement that we deserve something different than what we’ve got.
Lord, why don’t You answer the way I want? Why don’t You hear me the first time?
As a mom, I can understand why God doesn’t hear us. Because the way we want to be heard is not always what’s best.
Yet, we wrestle with the idea that His answers are better than ours. How can you trust God when He doesn’t answer your prayers the way you want?
The K.I.S.S. ~ Trusting God is hard sometimes!
In the quiet moments of our lives, when we find ourselves alone with our thoughts, the hope is that we find the guidance, comfort, and understanding that we specifically want.
We pray, we plead, we question. Why does it seem like our prayers go unanswered? Why doesn’t God respond in the way we hope He would?
We believe that we deserve a different path, a better outcome. In the corner of the shower, our tears release the hurt and pain in our hearts out to God, asking for specific answers, yearning for solutions that align with our desires. But what if His silence is a response in itself? Perhaps His plan for us is beyond what our limited vision can comprehend.
As a mother, I’ve come to realize that sometimes not giving my children what they want is the perfect act of love. I see the bigger picture, the long-term implications, the greater good.
Could this be the same for our Heavenly Father? Could His seeming silence be a way of gently guiding you toward a path that leads to your ultimate fulfillment and purpose?
Proverbs 3:5-6 ~ “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.”
This verse serves as a reminder that our own comprehension is limited, but God’s wisdom knows no bounds. By surrendering ourselves to His will, we open ourselves up to a world of possibilities that we could never have imagined.
Trusting God is a journey, not a destination. It requires faith, patience, and a willingness to let go of our preconceived notions of what is best for us. It’s called surrender!
And that surrender involves a deep-seated belief that God’s plan for you is far greater than anything you could dream of. So, in those moments of doubt and confusion, remember to listen, to discern, and to trust that God has your best interests at heart.
Don’t lose what God has put right in front of you! Stay entangled in His will and leave yours at the door.
Find the heavenly comfort right here and right now in the knowledge that even when trusting God is hard, it is ultimately the greatest blessing you’ll ever receive here on earth.
