Marriage is a journey that starts with a promise and leads to a road to somewhere profound—Somewhere where the love is unconditional, where the heart is heard, where the person is seen.
Somewhere where failure is appreciated, where challenges are expected, where success is celebrated, and where two believe in one another.

Often, it’s the sparkles of excitement and joy from the beginning of marriage. But after the honeymoon wears off, the reality of work sets in–the true commitment. Marriage is a road to somewhere where you can behold each other and learn to elevate one another.
But it doesn’t come easy. In fact, it comes at a cost. One has to give a little more at times, and the other must be open to receiving when not always wanting. It’s a path that demands effort, understanding, and patience.
The give ‘n take, back ‘n forth, and all arounds can leave you feeling dizzy, disillusioned, and desperate. However, you don’t have to live in a world that scorns you for every failure in life; forgiveness does exist.
Yet are you ready to extend it to your spouse?
If you want to build your marriage on a strong foundation, your cracks have to be filled with forgiveness.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Fill the cracks with forgiveness!
When you look at your foundation and see a crack, you have to fix it with concrete, something hard to hold it together, so it will stop spreading.
“Forgiveness is just that—the glue that repairs the failures of human actions that usually aren’t intended to hurt, but still aims directly at the heart.” ~ Kristianne Wargo
So how can you fill the cracks with forgiveness?
1. LISTEN UNCONDITIONALLY—Honest and open communication is key to resolving conflicts and fostering forgiveness. Take the time to listen to your partner’s perspective and share your own feelings constructively.
“Talking should not be a war! Remember, communication is not just about speaking, but also about truly understanding each other’s hearts.” ~ Kristianne Wargo
2. LOVE UNCONDITIONALLY—Put yourself in your partner’s shoes and try to see things from their point of view. When you love unconditionally, you don’t set pre-assumed expectations. Let empathy be the heartbeat of your love, allowing you to connect on a deeper level, fostering compassion and forgiveness. Being able to understand and relate to each other’s emotions can strengthen the bond between partners.
3. LET GO UNCONDITIONALLY—Holding onto past resentments can hinder the path to forgiveness. Learn to release grudges and move forward with a clean slate.
It’s your presence that matters. If you carry around all your sweetheart’s trash every day, you will miss the blessing right in front of you, because all you see is the past.
Focus on the present moment and the future you want to build together rather than dwelling on past mistakes.
Today, I challenge you to embrace forgiveness as a gift you give, not only to your partner, but also to yourself. Forgiveness will expand your love and lead you on a road to somewhere.
“Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!“
