As parents, we often forget what it’s like to be a kid. Who wants to be told what to do all the time? So, raise your kids with a smile in your heart by showing them that happiness lies in your actions.
There is nothing better than being a role model for our children. The more they see, the more they imitate.

Now, that can be good or bad, depending on what they see.
As parents, the way we behave and carry ourselves significantly influences the behavior and outlook of our children.
It’s easy to get caught up in the chaos of daily life and forget that our actions speak louder than words.
Instead of constantly instructing our children on how to behave, why not lead by example and show them that true happiness lies in our actions?
The K.I.S.S. ~ Lead by example!
So, how are you modeling the behavior you want to see in your children?
1. SMILE MORE THAN YOU COMPLAIN — Practice Gratitude: Teach your children the importance of gratitude by expressing thankfulness in your daily life. When you show appreciation for the little things, your children will learn to do the same.
For example, say “thank you” to the barista at the coffee shop, or express gratitude for a beautiful sunset during a family walk. By practicing gratitude yourself, you set a positive example for your children to follow.
“Gratitude turns what we have into enough.” ~ Kristianne Wargo
2. BE KIND IN SPITE OF — Practice Kindness: Show your children the power of kindness through your actions. Whether it’s helping a neighbor with their groceries or volunteering at a local charity, demonstrating acts of kindness teaches children the value of compassion and empathy.
Simple gestures like holding the door for someone or offering a smile to a stranger can make a big impact. By practicing kindness in your daily interactions, you inspire your children to spread love and positivity in the world.
“Kindness is free; sprinkle that stuff everywhere.” ~ Kristianne Wargo
3. LOVE YOURSELF SO YOU CAN LOVE OTHERS — Practice Self-Care: Prioritize self-care and well-being to show your children the importance of taking care of oneself. Whether it’s setting aside time for a hobby you enjoy, going for a walk in nature, or practicing mindfulness, self-care is essential for overall happiness and fulfillment.
When your children see how you love yourself, they learn the value of self-love and nurturing their own well-being. Remember, you cannot pour from an empty cup, so taking care of yourself benefits not only you but also your children.
“Self-care is giving the world the best of you instead of what’s left of you.” ~ Kristianne Wargo
As parents, we have the incredible opportunity to shape our children’s worldview through our actions. Take what you’ve got and put it into action, Show them what values are and how to act with ethics and morals. Happiness lies in your actions. Now go spread the word!
“Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!“
