In a world where we have international days for chocolate chip cookies and pizza, how is it that we are not honoring our brightest lights—our children? Imagine the impact if you embraced the power of celebration for your child.
This is in a manner in which they feel cherished and valued for who they are and who they are becoming, not just because they are your “child.”

As parents, we can bury ourselves in the busyness of life – juggling work, household chores, and countless responsibilities. Amidst this chaos, it’s vital to pause and reflect on the importance of celebrating our children.
Think about this– What if you celebrated your child to the point that it went viral?
We’re all worried about getting noticed and getting one step ahead of our competition (whoever you deem as such).
But we don’t do anything to raise up our kids to be strong, independent individuals that will mightily impact the world they touch.
We’re just caught in our own CRAP of life. Yet, even when days get crazy, we still will go get those cookies or pizza just for the excuse to celebrate.
What if you were to celebrate your child?
The K.I.S.S. ~ Celebrate your child!
So, how can we celebrate our children in a meaningful way? Here are three simple yet powerful ideas:
1. Notice and Acknowledge Their Efforts:
Take the time to recognize your child’s achievements, big or small. It could be congratulating them on finishing a challenging puzzle, scoring well on a test, or even showing kindness to a friend. By acknowledging their efforts, you are reinforcing the value of hard work and perseverance. For instance, praise your child for their creativity by saying, “I love the way you used different colors in your artwork. It shows how imaginative you are!”
2. Quality Time Together:
In today’s fast-paced world, spending quality time with our children is a precious gift, but we all take it for granted. Set aside dedicated moments to engage in activities that your child enjoys, whether it’s playing a board game, gardening, or simply going for a walk together. This undivided attention strengthens your bond and creates lasting memories.
“In a world full of distractions, choosing to be present is the greatest gift we can give our children.” ~ Kristianne Wargo
3. Create a Positive Environment:
Encourage a positive and nurturing environment at home that fosters your child’s growth and self-esteem. Celebrate their uniqueness and encourage them to embrace their individuality. Teach them the value of kindness, empathy, and resilience. Empower your child to believe in themselves and their capabilities. Supporting your child in their journey of self-discovery nurtures their confidence and fuels their potential.
In conclusion, celebrating our children goes beyond the superficial. It’s about nurturing their souls, acknowledging their efforts, and empowering them to shine bright in this world. As parents, let’s embrace the power of celebration and watch our children bloom into their full potential.
“In celebrating our children, we celebrate the future.” ~ Kristianne Wargo
