“Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” (Exodus 3:5) Just as Moses, are you willing to answer God’s call?
Then he said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.” At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God. (Exodus 3:6)

How many times have you been in the presence of God and hid your face? How many times have you heard from God what you’re supposed to do, but you hesitate with every possible excuse (i.e., too old, not enough time, not enough energy, not the right person, etc.)?
Excuses can lead our day in the wrong way, especially away from God. And I don’t think most of us really think of it as running away from God.
But if we’re honest, it’s just that.
The story of Moses serves as a poignant reminder that God’s plans transcend age and expectation.
At 80 years old, Moses received a divine call to lead the Israelites out of Egypt; it’s never too late to answer when God calls.
For many believers, discerning God’s call can be a daunting task, it can be exhausting and confusing. The busyness of everyday life can drown out the divine whispers, leaving us questioning if we are truly aligned with God’s will.
It is during these moments of uncertainty that we must turn to prayer, seeking clarity and guidance in our journey.
“God’s call may not always make sense to us, but it is our faith and trust in Him where the journey continues forward.” ~ Kristianne Wargo
These words remind us that sometimes the most profound callings are the ones that challenge our assumptions and push us beyond our comfort zones.
As believers, it is our duty to remain receptive to God’s voice, even when the path ahead seems unclear.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Answer God’s call!
Reflecting on your own life, when was the last time you felt called to something greater? How did you respond? Did you embrace the opportunity with open arms, or did you shrink back in fear and self-doubt?
God’s call is not always convenient or easily understandable, but it is up to us to have the faith and courage to answer when He speaks.
Through the story of Moses, we are reminded that God’s timing is perfect, and His plans for us are beyond our comprehension. Whether we are young or old, experienced or inexperienced, God can use us in remarkable ways if we are willing to trust in His will.
As you navigate your own journey of faith, remember the example set by Moses. Let us be open to God’s call, even when it defies our expectations. For it is in answering His call that we truly find purpose and fulfillment in our lives.
Why not step out in obedience and trust God, just as Moses answered the call at 80 years old, knowing that God’s plans for us are greater than we can imagine.
Don’t miss your burning bush. If God is willing to take a chance on you, don’t you think you should take a chance on yourself?
Answer God’s call.
“Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!“
