In the busyness of modern life, it’s easy to fall into the trap of wanting to control every aspect of your existence. The desire for control can hold you back from your purpose. Have you ever thought of God’s gotta gripe with your grip?
Because it may make you feel good to meticulously plan your schedule to meticulously curate your social media persona.

Unfortunately, we do really like control, especially when we have no control over what happens to us in our every day.
But the thing is this. What happens when this desire for control becomes a barrier to your relationship with God?
Maybe you haven’t even given it a second thought. Who would think God would care about our desire to control?
Well, God does care. He desires for you to walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). And in doing so, that’s when we truly comprehend how to trust in Him.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” ~ Proverbs 3:5-6
You see, control is the barrier between you and surrendering to what God desires for you.
Do you really want to get in the way of what God has for you?
Because if you keep holding on tight to what you want, you won’t be able to see what God wants for you.
The K.I.S.S. ~ God’s gotta gripe on your grip!
So, at some point, you must relinquish control and let go of what’s not yours to hold onto.
Your divine path can only be realized if you let God lead you.
With Easter around the corner and us in the season of Lent, I can’t help but think of Galatians 2:20.
Galatians 2:20: “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
You accepting Jesus Christ as your risen Lord and Savior opens up the doors of what’s possible. Because with God, nothing is impossible (Mark 10:27).
But there is one thing that will stand in your way: control.
God’s gotta gripe with your grip.
So when are you going to let go? When are you going to see what He is creating for you? What time of day will you meet Him face to face to understand His plans, not yours? How are you going to lead your life well, if you don’t let God in?
God’s gotta gripe with your grip.
Set your mind on things above, not earthly things (Colossians 3:2).
Find peace that passes all understanding not in what you know, but in whose you are.
God loves you!
Let Him lead the way, so you can live, love, and impact!
