Being a mom is a full-time job. Balancing the demands of raising children, managing the chaos of daily life, and juggling activities can be challenging. How do you parent like a Super Bowl MVP?
Imagine, for a moment, raising up a son like Brock Purdy or Patrick Mahomes.

Brock Purdy and Patrick Mahomes, two talented quarterbacks with their own unique styles, would undoubtedly have valuable life lessons to impart to their children because of their moms.
In anticipation of an incredible Super Bowl, why not look at our own families?
Let’s make this fun. Because as you know, parenting is not for the faint at heart.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Are you ready for some football?!?
Drawing from their football experiences, here are some lessons they might teach with corresponding football analogies:
1. Never be afraid to take a risk and go for it.
Sometimes, the greatest rewards come from stepping out of your comfort zone and making that bold pass downfield. Just like in football, taking calculated risks and embracing challenges can lead to extraordinary opportunities.
2. Always work hard and give your best effort.
And this is both on and off the field. Football teaches us the importance of dedication, practice, and perseverance. The same principles apply to life. By putting in the time and effort to improve yourself and pursue your goals, you set yourself up for success. Why not do that for the family, for the kiddos?
3. Embrace teamwork and value collaboration.
Football is a team sport, and success is built on trust and effective communication. Teach your children the importance of being a team player, supporting others, and working together towards common goals. Just like a well-executed football play, when everyone works in harmony, remarkable things can happen.
4. Face adversity with resilience and a positive mindset.
In football, there will be games where everything seems to go wrong, but a great quarterback rises above the challenges and uses them as fuel for a comeback. Similarly, in life, setbacks and obstacles are inevitable. Teach your children to stay resilient, learn from failures, and maintain a positive attitude. It’s not about avoiding adversity, but rather how they respond to it that matters.
5. Adapt and contribute from the sidelines.
In football, injuries or circumstances may prevent a player from being on the field. However, that doesn’t mean their role becomes insignificant. Teach your children that when they can’t actively participate, there are still ways to contribute and make a positive impact. They can support and encourage their teammates, provide insights from their unique perspective, and offer assistance from the sidelines. Just like a skilled backup quarterback, their presence and guidance can be invaluable to the team.”
6. Lead by example and inspire others.
As quarterbacks, Brock Purdy and Patrick Mahomes are responsible for leading their teams on and off the field. They demonstrate the power of strong leadership through their actions, decision-making, and motivation. Encourage your children to be leaders in their lives, inspiring others through character, integrity, and empathy.
7. Enjoy the journey and celebrate victories, big or small.
Football seasons are filled with ups and downs, victories and defeats. Teach your children to savor the journey, to appreciate the effort they put in, and to find joy in the process, regardless of the outcome. Just like in football, the moments of triumph and shared experiences with teammates and loved ones make the journey worthwhile.
By instilling these values and lessons, and using football analogies to reinforce their teachings, Brock Purdy and Patrick Mahomes would guide their children towards becoming resilient, teamwork-oriented, and goal-driven individuals who embrace challenges and pursue their dreams with passion.
