“But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.” ~ John 3:21
These powerful words, spoken by Jesus himself, remind us of the importance of living a life guided by truth and being a shining light in this world.

Often, we find ourselves surrounded by darkness – the darkness of sin, negativity, and deception. It can be easy to lose sight of what is right and succumb to the pressures and temptations around us.
However, Jesus encourages us to stand firm in the truth, for it is the truth that sets us free and allows us to be a beacon of light in a world that desperately needs it.
So, how can you live the life in the sight of God?
As you know, you want to commit first to seeking and living by the truth. This means aligning our thoughts, actions, and intentions with what is morally right and just. It means being honest with yourself and others, even when it may be uncomfortable or inconvenient. It means making choices that honor God and reflect His love and grace.

Being the light also means being a positive influence on those around us. Your words and actions have the power to either uplift or tear down others. When you choose to speak words of encouragement, show acts of kindness, and extend forgiveness, you are spreading the light of love and compassion to those who need it most.
In a world filled with darkness, being the light also means standing up for what is right and just. It means advocating for those who are oppressed, disadvantaged, or marginalized. It means using your voice to speak out against injustice and create positive change in your communities. By taking a stand for righteousness and being a voice for the voiceless, you can illuminate the darkness and bring hope to those who need it most.
Remember that being the light does not mean being perfect. We are all flawed and capable of making mistakes. Yet, it is through our willingness to acknowledge our shortcomings and seek forgiveness that we can truly shine. When we humbly admit our failures and turn to God for guidance, he can transform our lives and use us as vessels of His light and love.
In the sight of God!
So, are you being the light unto the world? Take a moment to reflect on your thoughts, words, and actions. Are they in alignment with the truth? Are they bringing hope, love, and grace to those around you? In this moment, decide to be intentional about being the light, for through you, God’s love can shine brightly in this world.
