“Worrying doesn’t empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength. ~ Corrie Ten Boom” This reminds us that while it is natural to have concerns about the future, it is detrimental to allow worry to overshadow the beauty of today.
In the quiet moments of our lives, we often find ourselves consumed by worries about the future.

We fret and fear about what tomorrow might bring, anxiously trying to control every aspect of our lives. But amidst this whirlwind of worry, we often forget the power that lies within us — the strength to face any challenge and find solace in the present moment.
Worry is this force that ignites fear and drains our energy, clouds our judgment, and diminishes our ability to live fully in the present moment. It is like a leaky faucet that slowly drips away our strength, leaving us depleted and unable to tackle the challenges that lie ahead.
The K.I.S.S. ~ The beauty of today!
In the midst of life’s uncertainties, it’s easy to find ourselves surrendering to worry rather than embracing hope. Every day, it feels like the weight of the world sits heavily on our shoulders, dragging us down into a never-ending cycle of doubt and anxiety. But amidst the chaos, there lies a glimmer of hope – a path towards reclaiming our inner strength and finding solace in the power of the present.
Mindfulness, the art of grounding ourselves in the present moment, holds the key to breaking free from the chains of worry. By consciously cultivating awareness and directing our attention to the here and now, we quiet the noise that clamors for our attention. Mindfulness allows us to cut through the fog of anxiety and focus on what truly matters, granting us peace amidst the storm.
Often, our worries stem from a narrow and limited perspective. We become so fixated on a single viewpoint that we fail to see the potential for new possibilities and solutions. But by consciously shifting our perspective, we open ourselves up to a world of expanded understanding. We invite fresh insights and embrace a broader outlook, unlocking the doors to hope and resilience.
Gratitude, too, offers a powerful antidote to anxiety. When we take the time to truly appreciate the blessings and joys that surround us, we shift our attention away from fear and into a space of appreciation. In this space, we find our spirits uplifted, and our inner strength fortified. With every expression of gratitude, we grow closer to realizing the depths of our resilience and the abundance of goodness that exists within and around us.
It’s important not to carry the burdens of worry alone. We have an innate need for connection and understanding, and sharing our worries with trusted friends, family, or mentors can bring immense relief. Their guidance, reassurance, and different perspectives provide us with the comfort and solace that we seek. Through their support, we begin to understand that we are not alone in our struggles, and together, we can overcome even the greatest challenges.
However, mere contemplation and sharing our worries will not bring about the change we long for. Action is the catalyst that propels us forward. Although worry may try to paralyze us, we have the power to shift our focus toward productive action. By breaking down our concerns into manageable steps, we regain a sense of control and take hold of our destiny. Each small step strengthens our resolve, emboldening us to face the future with hope and resilience.
It is crucial to remember that worry deceives us, convincing us that it is a reasonable reaction to the uncertainties that life presents. Yet, it is in worrying that we rob ourselves of the power to fully appreciate and grow in the present. Take hold of Corrie Ten Boom’s wisdom and refuse to let worry empty today of its strength.
May we find the courage to live fully and unapologetically in the present moment, to love deeply and authentically, and to seek solace in the beauty that surrounds us.
