Loving someone takes extraordinary effort to build a marriage to what you think you desire. But first, it comes with a decision and a commitment. Make your “yes” be YES!
In a world where relationships and commitments are often treated lightly, making a strong and lasting commitment to marriage is truly admirable.

Marriage is a beautiful union that requires dedication and effort from both partners.
While marriage may not always resemble the perfect love stories we see in Hallmark movies, by following certain principles and committing to a few key things, we can create a strong foundation for our marriage.
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. ~ (1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NIV)
At some point, you have to establish what marriage means to you. You have got to define what you want your marriage to be, and then commit to it.
Because if you don’t commit, you will always be floundering. You can turn your back one day and quit the marriage.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Make your “yes” be YES!
When you make a definitive commitment, a decision to last for a lifetime, then you open the door for God to work in your marriage.
- Maintain peace by having a humble attitude. You don’t know it all, and you can’t have a marriage with just you. It takes two. So, be humble. Stop acting like a jerk for no reason.
- Look for the good, not the bad. It’s easy to point out someone else’s junk before you see the good. The junk is always there. It’s like asking your children to pick up their toys and clothes in their room. It just stays there and does not move.
- Be willing to do things God’s way, no matter how hard it is. You don’t know it all, and if you did, you wouldn’t be where you are today. So let God in.
Make your “Yes” be YES!
“Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!“
