Who would think God would hide from us? We all have moments when we sense a distance from God. We can still find comfort in God’s hidden presence.
Despite our best efforts, it can feel like God is hiding Himself, which leaves us longing for His presence.
However, God never leaves you nor forsakes you.

Isaiah 45:15 – “Truly, you are a God who has been hiding himself, the God and Savior of Israel.”
But even if God is hiding from you, He is still your God and Savior.
You know, God challenges our faith. Yet we still have to understand that He is still doing work on your behalf. You may feel a little distant, but that doesn’t mean He’s not moving mountains for you in the background.
It might seem surprising to acknowledge that God hides Himself, but it is a reminder that His ways and methods are beyond our comprehension. In times of feeling distant from God, we may question His presence and wonder why He allows such periods of perceived absence. However, as we read here in Isaiah, it challenges us to have faith and trust in His sovereignty, even when we cannot fully grasp His ways.
Just like the hidden God in Isaiah 45:15, we must learn to trust in God’s unseen work during seasons of distance. Although we may not always perceive His presence, God is continuously at work in our lives, orchestrating events and molding us according to His plan.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Find comfort in God’s hidden presence!
And that’s another reason why we need to be in His Word. Because the Bible acts as a compass, guiding us closer to God, even when we feel distant. By diving into God’s Word, you get to discover comfort, direction, and the assurance of His unfailing love. It’s in those pages, that His Words speak comfort to us when we feel like we are playing hide and seek.
I mean think about this, there are stories in the Bible of individuals who experienced God’s hidden presence but were ultimately drawn nearer to Him.
So during these times of perceived distance, prayer becomes a lifeline to connect with God. Pouring out your heart to Him, sharing your struggles, doubts, and desires, bringing Him into your present circumstances.
Although God’s response may not always be immediate or evident, our prayers serve as an avenue for that intimacy with Him.
Now most people don’t want to hear that God having His ringer turned off is normal for us here on earth.
And it’s not because of what God lacks, but what we lack.
And that, my friend, is the greatest reminder why our faith must be stronger than any feelings. Because feelings are fleeting. But God’s love for you is forever.
So cling to His promises, seek Him diligently in His Word, pray, worship, and be grateful for the blessings you choose to see. As you navigate through these seasons where God appears to be hiding, may your faith be strengthened, and may you find hope, comfort, and unwavering trust in our risen Lord and Savior.
God’s got you!
“Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!“
