As a believer, you often face situations of doubt and unease, wondering whether God hears your prayers and will fulfill his promises to you.
This Psalms acknowledges these feelings; however, it also reminds us of the hope we have in the Lord.
It urges us not to give up or lose faith, but to continue to seek God’s promises through prayer and reading his word.
The K.I.S.S. ~ When will you comfort me?
So, what can you do when you feel like you are straining to see God’s promises fulfilled?
First, hold onto His promises despite your doubts. God’s promises are always true and will come to fruition in His timing. You must trust that God has a plan for your life and that His timing is perfect.
Second, seek comfort in God’s word. The Bible is full of promises and stories of God’s faithfulness to His people. Reading and meditating on scripture can bring peace and comfort in the midst of uncertainty.
Third, pray and ask God for guidance and comfort. You can tell Him about your doubts and ask Him to strengthen your faith. Prayer is a powerful way to connect with God and seek His direction in our lives. Think of it as a redline to God.
Lastly, seek support from your faith community. Talking to fellow believers about our doubts and fears can provide encouragement and support. You can also find comfort in knowing that you are not alone in your struggles and that others have faced similar challenges.
Being a Christian does not mean nothing will go wrong. In fact, it can be the total opposite.
You will face times when you feel like you are straining to see God’s promises fulfilled.
However, you can find comfort in God’s word, prayer, and your Christian community. You can trust that God is faithful and His promises will be fulfilled in His perfect timing.
PRAYER: When your days are darkened with sorrow and emptiness, may God guard and protect your heart. Don’t let what you can’t see be the crutch of what you believe. Walk by faith, not by sight. Help to show what to do next. Lord, let Your strength be the fuel to persevere. You go before me. Thank you for this day as we celebrate and honor those who have fallen for our freedom. We salute them and support those who were left behind.
