In an increasingly complex world, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the sheer number of things that demand attention. Stop increasing your stress while decreasing your productivity. Simple is better.
With constant notifications on our smartphones to the endless stream of emails and social media updates, it’s no wonder you often feel stressed and frazzled.

The philosopher Henry David Thoreau once said, “Our life is frittered away by detail. Simplify, simplify.”
Why is it that in life, we have to be busy to prove our success?
And how does that prove success anyway?
Life isn’t about what you conjure up in your mind or what the world tells you is truth. Stick to who you are, the person God created you to be, and then serve.
If we would look at what we do from a servant’s perspective (What can I do for you?), no longer are you attached to your results. You are attached to who you serve.
Better customer service. Better friend. Better spouse. Better student. Better life.
Life becomes less complicated.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Simple is better!
Let’s do some uncomplicating life. You deserve to life in true elegance.
The designer Coco Chanel famously said, “Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance.”
- Unplug: One of the biggest sources of complexity in our lives is our addiction to technology. To simplify your every day, disconnect from your devices for a set period of time each day. You might take a digital detox in the evenings or on the weekends, or simply turn off your phone during meals or other important moments.
- Prioritize: Another way to simplify your life is to focus on your most important priorities. Take some time to think about what really matters to you and how you want to spend your time. Then, make a list of your top three to five priorities and use these as a guide for how you allocate your time and energy.
- Declutter: Physical clutter can be a major source of stress and distraction. To simplify your environment, take some time to declutter your space. You might start with one room or area of your home, then gradually work through your belongings. Consider donating or selling items you no longer need or use, and focus on keeping only what is essential and meaningful to you.
PRAYER: May your moments become more in focus as you seen the beauty of what God has placed before you. Remember, you are chosen with nothing to prove. Let the pressure fall and embrace the simplicity as you walk in faith. One step at a time leads to miles of greatness!
