Unfortunately, those who want to impact the world they touch fall into this self-sabotage too easily.

In fact, I believe we are stricken with this reflection multiple times when we look in the mirror.

And what happens when you find yourself here?

What is your internal conversation? What whispers are you yelling to yourself over and over again?

It’s next to impossible to do what you were created to do if you run yourself in circles of disbelief, entangling your confidence in failures, and trash-talking who you are becoming.

• More forgiveness
• More beauty
• More knowledge
• More leadership

More of what are you in search of?

You can’t do what you were called to do, what you were created to do, if you keep hanging out with your destructive self. At some point, you have give up to get out.

The K.I.S.S. ~ G.I.V.E. up to get out!

Look through the lens of tenacity.

1. GRACE – Live by the grace that God gives you. You are not doing life alone. So why keep trying to do it your way? Do it God’s way.

2. ILLUMINATE – You have got to put to bed the lies and reveal the truths. When you let your light shine, using your gifts and talents, you don’t have to force anything. You work within your zone of genius. You do what God created you to do. Let your light shine!

3. VACATE – You can’t get out if you’re not willing to give up. So vacate the premises that do not serve you. Change your thoughts to change your mind. Replace the whispers that cut you down and destroy your confidence with encouraging words and phrases. What you think about, you bring about. So vacate where you should not live in your mind.

4. ENRICH – Surround yourself with wise counsel. Walk with the wise and become wise. (Proverbs 13:20) Read what challenges you emotionally, physically, spiritually, and relationally. Ground yourself with wisdom.

Give up to get out!

Life is a beautiful thing. Look for opportunities amongst the obstacles.

The search for more starts within.

Don’t try and be someone you’re not. Hang on to what matters. Don’t let your heart be trampled by your own whispers. Calm the chaos with hope.
