Usually, that means you are not willing to do what it takes to get to the next level.

But these miles of greatness begin with one step, not a leap. Don’t assume you have to have everything laid out. Take it one day at a time.

If you are into rushing your dreams and goals, do you think you can miss what God has in store for you?

Most definitely. You have to be a willing participant to make the changes needed to get to where you want to go.

“I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” ~ Philippians 3:14

You know what God has laid upon your heart. You know what matters. So why play the game of pretending you can’t do something for mere convenience or ease?

Anything worth having takes work. And that work starts at the beginning. If everything was easy, everyone could do everything. How boring.

No one would have gifts or talents. Everything would be status quo. So don’t settle for being stuck.

Press on toward the goal.

The K.I.S.S. ~ P.R.E.S.S. on toward the goal!

Philippians 3:14 says exactly that; “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”

God has called you to walk in greatness. But that greatness can’t happen if you give in to the stickiness of being stuck.

P.R.E.S.S. on toward the goal.

1. PRESERVE the vision. It’s easy to mistake dreams or goals for something else that seems a little more attainable. But that’s not how God works. He stretches and molds you for the greatness to come. So preserve the vision.
2. RATIONALIZE the unpredictable. Life happens. Don’t allow yourself to get entangled by what you can’t do. Always ask yourself, “What this makes possible?” Then, you can take a different approach, one that’s hope-filled, not ditch-driven.
3. EXPEDITE what can be done today. You know what you need to do today. Stop the excuses and take A.I.M. — Action Ignites Motivation. This is where you live from a cup half-full, not half-empty. Perspective is everything.
4. SAVOR the moments. Your presence is required in order for greatness to be found. Be present in all that you do. Play hard. Work hard. Love hard. Serve hard.
5. SUSTAIN the hope of what’s to come. You can’t do this alone. That’s why you need God. Don’t ever forget that He wants what’s best for you. Always ask for guidance, seek help from those who’ve gone before you, and knock on the doors, whether they are closed or open.

When your press on toward the goals, that’s where greatness happens.
