Probably not the results that gives you a reason to keeping chasing and going after it.
There are so many things in life that you’re up against.
- Living up to expectations
- Being an incredible friend and co-worker
- Raising extraordinary children
- Loving like only you can love
If only your life was lived under a smaller spotlight. But no! You are highlighted every time you show up on social media. And then all those rules apply so you can shine brighter.
Living is exhausting!
So stop failing yourself by demanding you live under everyone else’s finger.
Change your mission.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Change your quest!
Maybe you are trying to put yourself in a space where you don’t belong. Trying to fit in.
And it’s not that you are a misfit. You simply are at a different point in your life.
Pivoting isn’t so bad.
Change your quest!
Instead of beating yourself up over what you can’t do, change your quest.
Now that doesn’t mean you have to go to extremes to live out your purpose and calling. You can still go after your dreams. But know what you are going after.
Meaning, instead of chasing happiness, chase a smile from your husband.
Big difference.
Chasing happiness may lead you down roads of mishaps and confusion, frustration and madness.
However, when the focus is on the love of your life, the chase has more meaning. What makes a heart happier than knowing your spouse is smiling because of you?
Change your quest!
One thing that eats at a lot of people are the winter blues. You begin to get restless and become more withdrawn. You’re tired. You’re moody.
Part of that is the lack of Vitamin D. Days are shorter and nights are longer. And with little opportunity to emerge yourself in nature, restoration for the mind, body, and spirit is limited to what you can get on the inside of four walls.
In order to stay clear of the winter blues, don’t focus so much on what you can’t control, the weather; and focus on what matters, your well-being.
Go after what makes you feel good. If you like to swim, find an indoor swimming pool and go swimming. If you like to paint, this is a great time to go get some canvases and start painting.
But if the focus stays on how blah you feel, that’s what you will continue to feel, because you are chasing it.
Change your quest!
Go after what matters to you. Leave the false stories you tell yourself in the dumpster. You are made for more.
Feel your heart beat faster when you are doing what you love. Express hope with a smile to a stranger. Love deeper as you know how it feels to be loved.
This is a new day! A new beginning. A fresh start to change how you live your day.
