The holidays are filled with joy, building memories, and LOTS of food. Who wants the extra bloat or bulge? So enjoy the holidays even more by discovering how to avoid the holiday bulge.
Now the quick answer is to stay on track. But let’s be realistic. Who really wants to say NO to yummy food that’s only around during the holidays?

I sure don’t want to say NO. In fact, YES is so much easier. No thoughts to temptations. You just do it.
However, when you want to maintain your healthy streak, how do you find the balance between enjoyment and indulgment?
The K.I.S.S. ~ Make a plan and take AIM!
Making a plan will help you prepare how you want to handle the yummy temptations throughout your holiday celebrations.
Here are a few ideas to get you thinking. And remember, you do what works for YOU! There’s no right or wrong; only what works for you and your goals.
- Make sure to include intentional movement in your day, even on the day of your gatherings.
- Eat prior going to a party and allow only
- Stick to the 3 to 5 bite rule. Enjoy the taste not the size!
- Stay hydrated.
- Remember the holi-“DAY”! It’s a day, not a season. Don’t graze yourself through the days.
- Keep the fellowship away from the food line. We all hang out in the kitchen. Take the conversation somewhere else.
- Get some great sleep.
- Do not beat yourself up.
The holiday bulge doesn’t have to be a result of your celebrations. After you have decided and committed to your health, make a plan and take AIM!
