But if you sit back watching the trends and trying to fit in, where will that get you? How far will you go?
There are pluses and minuses to trends. A plus…. Some outlast the “trend cycle”; living beyond the viral video rage or the latest hair style.
However, what about the minuses? The ones that distract you from your purpose, your calling.
Let’s take Facebook for example. Facebook started out as a way to connect with students on campus and eventually expanded to the world.
When was the last time you actually spoke to a friend instead of messaging them?
The plus is that we can meet people around the world and collaborate, get to know them. The minus is that we are losing the art of conversation; therefore, losing the art of storytelling.
What’s trending in your life that is adding to your purpose and passion, creating your extraordinary life?
You need to breakdown what’s trending so you know how to declutter the trends in your life.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Declutter the trends!
Pick an area in your life that needs to be simplified. It could be health, fitness, business, marriage, finances, daily routine, etc.
Your goal is to let simplicity create abundance in your life. No time for being bogged down and tied to trends that aren’t working for you.

- What are your trends? What are you chasing? The newest, the latest and the greatest. Maybe it’s what you were recently introduced to.
- How is this supporting what you want to accomplish? How is this serving you?
- Cut out the unnecessary distraction trend. This might be the trend that takes 2 hours of your time when it could be better spent doing something else more productive.
