It’s seems the badge of honor we like to wear proudly. However, the badge discolors quickly. And then there’s no rest for the weary.

When it comes to your health and wellness, rest is a vital component to living a healthy lifestyle. Not just because it’s a good excuse not to do anything.

But as you change your body, strengthen it, and feed it well, you need to give it time to adapt to the changes.

Otherwise, it goes into a stress mode. Your cortisol levels are raised. Inflammation grows; swollen feet, hands, bloated tummy.

All the things we love about stress.

However, God wants us to care for a body so long term we can impact the world we touch.

Make a difference in your life today and find rest!

Take action on rest.

Rest isn’t always about doing nothing and twiddling your fingers. It’s about being intentional with your rest as an action.

Rest might be a walk instead of a hard resistance training day.

Rest could be food preparation in the kitchen.

Rest might include a good read or a cruise through Facebook.

You define what rest is for you. And don’t feel guilty.
